Rahui Te Kiri was the daughter of the paramount chief Te Kiri whose territory included the land this ride goes over. Rahui owned all this land and lived at Hauturu (Little Barrier Island) and Leigh until her 102nd. Year. This ride can be adapted to a 2 day and 1 or 2 nights with appropriate price adjustment
Arrive Pakiri approx.2.00pm… cup of tea or coffee and 2 hour ride on the beach. Overnight beach Cabins or beach house. Early dinner at Stables Café or you might like to go to a local restaurant nearby. This day is optional and costs extra.
Arrive Pakiri at 10.00am. 10.00 am depart on full day ride to Te Arai Point riding along Pakiri Beach , through white sand dunes, pine forest and native New Zealand rainforest . We stop for lunch at the fresh water lakes where weather permitting you may like to swim with your horse.
We then ride on over Te Arai Point offering magnificent views out to the Hen and Chickens Islands (Taranga) Moko Hinau and the Barrier Islands. Overnight at Lakeview Chalets

Return to Pakiri along the beach and through forest and dunes after riding through forest at Te Arai . Overnight at beach house.

Full day ride along the long white sand Te Arai beach much loved by surfers for its left hand break, ride over Te Arai Point and through the forest . Finish your day riding along Pakiri beach and through an ancient pohutukawa glade ( if you are riding in early December these gorgeous old trees will be covered in bright red blossom hence the name NZ Christmas tree) to your accommodation at Pakiri and a hearty dinner.
